Brief History: Added in 2014 as part of a modern upgrade to enhance visitor experience, the glass floors span the upper walkways connecting the two towers, roughly 42 meters above the River Thames. Notable Features: The walkways include transparent glass panels that allow you to look directly down onto traffic and the river below. They also include informative overlays and interactive displays. Fun Fact or Unique Angle: The glass floors are strong enough to support multiple buses, and visitors often pose for dramatic photos standing above the road or river. Current Use or Visitor Info: The walkways are a major highlight of the Tower Bridge Exhibition. Visitors are encouraged to walk across slowly, enjoy the views, and take plenty of photos. Note that floor areas are regularly cleaned for clarity, and shoe grips are available.
